I really want to do a collage on my lounge room wall of the art I have been acquiring lately. The only thing standing in my way is the fact that I really don't know what style to follow...do I go to IKEA and purchase frames in that modern style ? or should I fossic through markets and op shops for mismatched and eccentric frames?

Looking at these interiors is leaning me towards the second option. What do you think?

  1. Check out this one.
The wall prints are perfectly spaced and match the room nicely.

  2. I think DEFINITELY mix and match your frames! It would look awesome to have some really cute vintage frames mixed with some woods and then some plain block colours. Yes yes!

  3. I agree mix and match the frames, vintage kinda distressed ones can work really well as a mix with new ones. I love the collage idea too, they can look so effective. I have actually bought a few nice wooden ones from country road lately and they are surprisingly good, different finishes etc. Can't wait to see your wall

  6. Personally I love a bit of a mix, though I must admit that a wall of similar frames (say all black edges) can make a great impact too. Love the pics - very inspiring.

  7. I think you should go for both. Themed prints looks great in matching frames as it really ties them together and individual prints in op-shop frames to set them apart... just some thoughts.

  8. awesome!!!
i just love these three rooms!
i am so jealous of these people and want my own place NOW so i cant do this

i have started mine on my bedroom wall
i have one from my folk lover,
    and one from catilin sheerer
    and another from kelly smith

i am keeping to black and cream frames at this stage, because it helps tie them together,
but im thinking vintage frames would look awesome!
