Here are my favourite Feist songs care of youtube.

I Feel It All this is my favourite favourite....so bouncy and fun...it makes me smile. I couldn't find a film clip for it, but I found this version where she is playing in a bus, I think it was for an American TV show.

Mushaboom my second favourite Feist song. I love this film clip, she does the cutest dancing.

Hope you like them.

Flashback Friday :: Poppy

Poppy, Bec and I

Here is a photo of my pop and his catch for the day. Pop loves fishing and every year he goes on holidays to Yamba to spend months fishing. Pop taught me many important things growing up...like "It doesnt matter how you eat it, as long as you eat it". That was because we always played with our food. My Pop's birthday is Christmas day so every year we get to celebrate Christmas and his birthday. When I was little pop taught me how to play cards, dominoes and do the crossword in the paper. He also taught me about fishing, sport and the art of growing veggies with lots of sheep poo.
I love my poppy.

happy flashback xo

makes me smile

Friday, October 19

Just some things that are making me smile today

Firstly today was my last uni lecture for the year, thats makes me smile, but also a little queezy as it means exams are near. To celebrate I got an extra large cappuccino with full cream milk and a few too many sugars...ah thats what I call happiness.

Another thing making me smile is the fact that magnation stays open till 10pm tonight (I didnt know that it opens late)
and I can go get an early copy of the Nov issue of Frankie...I heart Frankie... my bestfriend in the whole world introduced me to Frankie and I'm so happy she did so! Love you Jags.

and lastly the other thing making me smile is the fact that its Friday and that means the weekend is near, also Fridays mean I get to reminisce at my old photos whilst I pick out a photo for Flashback Friday (I have one in mind that Im going to scan tonight).

sothats whats making me smile today.....

oh and lastly ( maybe I shouldn't tell everyone this) Kinki Gerlinki are having a garage sale at their Sydney Rd store this weekend. Oh but I have to study...but its cheap clothes.....but study...but.....what to do..what to do.

Girl of My Dreams

Monday, October 15

Whilst at borders on the weekend I found the most beautiful magazine ever, Oh it is just so pretty. It's a UK magazine called Lula and only on its 5th edition. This issue is extra special as Kirsten Dunst is guest editor, so it's full of articles about her movies, life, friends and just everything that is this young, creative intelligent girl.

I have to share some scans with you....to see more from the current issue go here. or click to see larger images.

You can have a peek inside the old issues of Lula on there website.

Ah too pretty for words....

Fox in the Woods

Friday, October 12

I'm loving these illustrations from the "Seven Sisters" Series by Erin Paisley, bellow is Sisters Five and Six.
The Weaver by Erin Paisley

Forest and Fields by Erin Paisley

I came across Erin's illustrations on ETSY and included her Forest and Field's print in a treasury I did not long ago. Erin is based in Milwaukee and teaches herself to paint and draw, very impressive. I love the mix of ink and watercolour along with the textured paper, ahh so delicate and pretty.

You must check out more of her paintings here or read her blog, Fox in the Woods, oh I just love a new blog find.

ps. ill be putting my flashback friday post up tonight. happy friday :-)

I {heart} collage

Thursday, October 11

I really want to do a collage on my lounge room wall of the art I have been acquiring lately. The only thing standing in my way is the fact that I really don't know what style to follow...do I go to IKEA and purchase frames in that modern style ? or should I fossic through markets and op shops for mismatched and eccentric frames?

Looking at these interiors is leaning me towards the second option. What do you think?

The Curiosity Shoppe

Well I've been away from blogging for a week and what a buzy week it has been. I have uni exams coming up (yuck) so study has been keeping me buzy and yesterday I was away for work. So now I'm back and already online shopping :-)

Dana reminded me of The Curiosity Shoppe on her blog the other day...I found it once before in internet land and forgot to bookmark it. It's full of beautiful hand crafted items, my favourite if I had to pick one would be these vintage French inspired journals.

ahh so many nice things...

Flashback Friday :: Nanna

Thursday, October 4

This is my Ninny, here she is showing me how to ride my bike. My Ninny taught me many things, like how to knit and crochet. She was always very encouraging of our creativity and would keep all sorts of things for us to cut up and make into what ever we could imagine.

Love you Nan xox

Around the house

Wednesday, October 3

My treasured card bag...oh what a great find for 50c ! I found this treasure at the local op shop in Thirroul. We used to holiday there in a flat above the local nursing home, my mums a nurse and they would rent out the place to nurses for free...so it became our regular holiday flat. It was only a few hundred metres from the beach and you could catch a train into Sydney or Wollongong. It was a great little town to holiday at !! oh the memories...

...thanks for all the comments and well wishes on my last post. You must of been sending healing energies cause I'm feel so much better !!! thanks xo

Thrifted Tuesday

Tuesday, October 2

Last Tuesday I went op shopping with my friend Sue. We went to Frankston savers where I was armed with my Polaroid camera to see if I could snap anything exciting. This is the first film Ive run through the camera so it really was just experimenting with what looks good and how close I can get etc.

I couldn't resist this owl show and learn, hes so cute. Though I may have picked up a super bug touching it...because three days later I'm struck down with an awful bacterial infection. Hence why I haven't been blogging much of late.

And this is a photo of some dummies in a trolley. Id like to try some more mannequin shots, I think they could be interesting.

Well off to get some more bed rest.

happy blogging. x
