laura - oh its in Thailand. Not my photo...but the scene look the same. People are always letting these lanterns off on the beach, its a symbol of good luck. We let a few off ourselves.
Oh stunning visual! I don't believe in luck, however I'd be tempted to release a lantran just because they look so beautiful floating up against the night sky! :)
