This koala was found by the firefighters wandering bewildered and thirsty after the bushfires. What makes this even more amazing is that Koalas aren't the cute cuddly animals they appear to be, they are naturally quite aggressive, yet this one allowed a firefighter to hand feed it from a water bottle.......very touching...

  2. I love this footage so much, and I was also amazed by the gentle nature of the koala – I guess he (she?) knew they were trying to help :)

  3. Thank you sharing this video. I posted it on my blog as those of us us in California know all about wild fires and what they can do. Our heart and prayers go out to all of you. Many of us have made donations to Austalians in need through the Red Cross. We may be miles apart but we are also so very much connected.

When I was a kid I had a stuffed Koala Bear and used to beg for a real one. I'm so grateful she'll be okay.

  13. Its odd how that koala has suddenly become an icon. Such a heartwarming image from such devistation.

Thankyou for putting up the links though. The last two weeks have been so shocking I can barely turn on the news. Do you live in Melbourne? The sunset last night was completely red. It made me want to cry.
