Bjork’s Icelandic documentary Nattura-Summer 2008, which focuses on the environmental issues facing Iceland, has been released exclusively on iTunes. Yay! All of the proceeds for the film go to the Nattura Campaign, which Bjork is greatly involved with.

Here is a video from the Nattura Concert last year. Bjork and Sigur Ros.....I think I died and went to heaven, two of my favourite artists on stage together!!!!!!! (it doesn't even matter that I have no clue what hes saying, anyone speak icelandic?)

I heart Bjork !!!!

I was lucky enough to see her play at the Sydney Opera House last year.

  1. He doesn't speak Icelandic. He speaks "hopelandic" which is a made-up language. So no one actually knows what he's singing except him! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigur_R%C3%B3s

  2. I'm pretty sure he only sings in Hopelandic though... why would the audience be cheering if thy didn't understand what he was saying?

Also: BJORK!!1 LOVE!!1 I went to the SOH show too; wasn't it indescribably incredible? I've never heard her talk so much EVER. Hands down the best gig I've been to in my lifetime.

  5. Had my icelandic bf listen to it and he says he *is* singing in icelandic- the stuff he could hear was pretty random though-
e.g. the chorus is 'wind in the hair' and other parts include something about a cute boy and throwing chewing gum on the fire... lol

  9. I feel the same way about both of them. And although someone mentioned that he doesn't speak Icelandic, he does in fact speak his native tongue and mixes Icelandic with his own made-up language. There are Icelandic words incorporated in the songs.
