A blog I've been spending alot of time on lately is The Art of Jordan. She has a nice little 'How To Series', that I'm really enjoying, such as:
- How to make an Inspiration Board Part 2
- How to Wear Knee High Socks
- How to Keep Creatively Motivated
What do you like to do to keep creatively motivated?

i like to look through flickr. or just randomnly follow links of comments until i find something intriguing.
Ohh, thanks for this post! I have actually been thinking about knee high socks for a while now...
beautiful post!
So excited to go explore her blog. To stay creative I step away from what ever it is that needs more creativity and go for a drive to my favourite places, it gives me a fresh perspective to look at old ideas.
xx
I'm loving the inspiration boards. I made one for my husbands office. It kinda turned out a bit girly but he still loves it haha.
I stay inspired largely through my friends. Honestly all my friends are so talented- artists, musicians, designers etc.
And of course through blogging and trawling the internet and my old Beatles books.
I'm kind of lazy when it comes to staying creative. When I don't feel creative at all I usually go all emo and waits for it to come back xD Not the best sulution I guess xD But I found out that it does help to just relax, I can't force it. I have to want to do something creative or else it won't work and I get a headche xDlol
I'll check out the site right now, thanks!
I write, just anything and ideas just appear from nowhere..i look at other peaople's work because there is so much out there to have a look at :) i listen to music or just go for a walk and get really inspired by everything I see..xxx
I am in love with that high waisted button up skirt - please tell me where it came from?
thanks for the new find, i'm off to check her blog out...seems right up my alley :)
loving those knee socks.
@glam_spoon i love that skirt too !! im not sure where its from, maybe its says where on Jordan's blog.
@anywhere I lay my head ~ hehe, I just post boring easy stuff when my creativity is lacking. I can get a bit lazy too!!
@setyourselfonfire oh your friends sound so interesting!! I hang out with my sisters friends for similar reasons, they are all so interesting!
@Rachael Kearley I love going for drives too!! hehe, But I more go exploring. I love getting out and finding new things in melbourne!
this sounds like such a fun blog; I will definitely check it out Liss. I have just been so darn slammed this week, family in town, tired, so yes, staying creatively motivated has fallen by the wayside; must get back into creative shape, if you will. smile :)
Ah yes I have recently started following her blog and it is very loverly.
Lovely dear!!!
Visit lots of blogs and read a LOT of magazines...
<3
Mila.
I look at a lot of photography on flickr, magazines like Frankie, blogs...
I find that the best drawing ideas come to me when I'm doodling..maybe if I'm on the phone and subconsciously drawing something...a lot of the time I can extend from them and form complete drawings.
I also find that when you haven't been creative for a while you have to kind of force it on..and get through that wall and then ideas just flow in and you can't stop! And you best keep it up or that wall will slowly build up again! And you absolutely mustn't doubt yourself..and when you get ideas you must put them into practice and not be lazy.gosh..sorry this is so long, but I made this realisation recently and had to write it somewhere:)
@Jane ~ hehe thank you for your insight. I lost my creativity for about 2 years, after I finished uni and started working I wasn't doing anything creative. Which is why I started blogging, as a way to become creative again and your right, you must never ever lose it or let that wall get too big!!
Hello, I'm here via The English Muse. Your blog is fabulous -- very very much so. Day Dream Lily is my new blog crush.
I know exactly how you feel daydream lily - with finishing uni and diving into full time work it's hard to find the time to stay creative! But I squeeze it in somehow - especially on the train going to work - i daydream and read a lot.
really..im sooo admire with all of ur posts...
