That is so sad, I saw her in January too and I will miss her music so much - she is such an awesome vegan inspiration too, hopefully we will see more of her soon.
SoKo is playing here (London) next week - not sure whether that means she has given up on her plans to quit or that she has a contractual obligation - either way I'm happy (until the end of next week at least)
No way has Soko quit music :'( I saw her do an impromto duet with Kid Harpoon and it was so good, I've seen her live a few times and she's always impressed me, I love her music!
I flipping love Soko and was so sad when I found out she was quitting..but an ad popped up on Facebook so I went over to MySpace and it syas she's playing a couple of gigs this month?? Hmm. Hope so, she's awesome. As is your blog btw, really enjoyed that interview you did. x x
I just recently discovered this blog, and I must say it's absolutely fantastic. It's just very relaxing to look at all the beautiful imagery you've made.
I'm not sure if Soko is really quitting. I met her at a bar/club in hollywood (she was very sweet) - she lives in LA now and sometimes does guest DJ things. I think sudden fame can scare people off - maybe she is just taking her time :)
@Drisk , @Tahda, @Helen ~ its sounding more like she just doesn't want the pressure of HAVING to create an album, and would rather take her time and enjoy doing gigs. Lets hope she hasn't quit completely!
