The week between Christmas and New Years seems the most magical. It's as if time has slowed down to make everything more beautiful and enchanting, like the color of the sunsets.
Even though Christmas is over, I love turning off all the lights in the house except for the Christmas tree. I could spend hours looking at it. I even add more ornaments. Why not, right?
Then I make chai tea with soy milk and spices and curl up with a good book. I just started The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. It's wonderful so far.
What's your favorite thing to do during this second holiday week?

fury hat + white lace dress=
stunning styling.
I love sunlight in pictures. It really is golden.
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I like to veg out on the couch and watch all the things we got for Christmas. And i keep all my gifts in a little pile in my room so I can admire them. Then after the 1st they go to their appropriate places.
During the holiday season our piano room transforms into our "christmas room." I can sit in there for hours, especially early in the morning when the neighborhood is still sleeping...
