I found some paper doilies in a $2 dollar shop. Now I can make some pretty collages, or use them for present wrapping, like in the last picture.
PS. Lightning Heart is giving away a beautiful Victorian style doily on her blog along with some other pretty things......

charming. hello, doily!
aww how cute! my tip is to use them to print pretty patterns onto fabric- spread fabric paint thinly, press, then peel off :)
@Pierrot le Fou ~ oh thanks, I will try it!
oh i've been looking for paper doileys for weeks! i swear they used to be in supermarkets everywhere!!
i'm giving one away on my blog at the moment, doilies are so wonderful!
@Lightning Heart ~ ill come check it out!
you know you can get doilies at any supermarket
@Lars ~ I have heard that, but always forget to look when I'm shopping.
Another fun thing to do is to type letters onto doilies. I blogged about that here, if anyone would like to see pictures :)

I really liked the last one. If you want to give me a present only with the wrapping, I'll be very happy.
I'm kidding.
Good work, after, show it here. I want to see, ok?

Haha, I didn't even know they were called 'doilies' in English! That's such a perfect word for them, it sounds so whimsical :)
My mother loves doilies! I grew up with doilies placed on tables, used on drinking glasses and a few napkins laced with delicate flowers.
Now, I try to find some vintage ones for my own. =)
The present wrapping idea with doilies is so cute - what a perfect little thoughtful touch to wrapping! Your brain excites me :o)
