** IMPORTANT--- ** make sure you uncheck the subscribe to comments, unless you actually want to receive all the comments :)

Also I've been finding WeHeartIt to be super slow these days, so I've been using StumbleUpon and Tumblr to look for and bookmark pretty things. Not sure if I like them yet, but WeHeartIt doesn't seem to be getting any better!!!

I've been thinking about getting a bike. Maybe it will be incentive to actually exercise. I'm one of those people with an unused gym membership!!

PS. I received a camera from The Disposable Memory project as thanks for blogging about them. I've passed it on to my bestfriend who has taken it to the country to take some pictures. Then I'll get her to post it back to me so I can finish the film. I'll let you all know how the photos turn out !

PSS. I'm off to the secondhand bookstore today to find some classics, fun!!

Blanket Magazine Project: Found In Translation

Thursday, June 18

My sister, Bec recently took part in a collaborative project for online art magazine, Blanket. The project was a game of Chinese Whispers involving a photographer, a writer and an artist. The results were fascinating.....

The Rules
• The photographer sends in a portrait.
• The portrait is sent to the writer (with no info on the person in the portrait).
• The writer writes a description of the person they see in the portrait.
• This description is then sent to an artist (without the original portrait) who then creates a portrait based on the description.

So Bec sent me a little sneak preview of her drawing before the magazine went live (it's the third picture posted here) and I thought it was amazing and stunning. Then when I downloaded the mag and saw the original photograph (click to see). All I could do was laugh!! Bec rang me and was like "did you see" then we just burst out laughing and talked about how she clearly has never been a big reader. But I don't think anyone could have predicted such a crazy original portrait.

You can read more about the project, and see the others who took part over here..

Thanks for all the tips on Classics to read, I'm keen to try alot of them!! I've read The Great Gatsby and 1984, but that's about it.

Halfway through season 4 of The Hills now, I'm get really annoyed by Heidi and Spencer. Ugh so over their dysfunctional relationship!!

PS. How yum does that icing look?!!

photos by Sabino

So I'm back from the conference and happy to be home. It was way to cold there!! It ended up being about 2 hours from Canberra in the snowy mountains, and snow and I don't mix too well. I spend more time rolling down the mountain then actually skiing.

Some link love:

to enjoy the little things in life.

I'm going away to Canberra this week for a work conference. I love going to these conferences as I get to learn all day and meet people with the same interests. Then at nights I can retreat to my room and have a long bath and just relax. Plus they give you lots of yummy food, my favourite is the full buffet breakfast. yum!!!

I've scheduled a few blog posts for whilst Im away, just some of my favourite images. I'm going to miss my daily blog reading, but I'll have heaps to catch up on when I'm back.

Where does the good go....

Thursday, June 4

Where do you go with your broken heart in tow
What do you do with the left over you
And how do you know, when to let go
Where does the good go, where does the good go
