New Gallery - Extended Play

Catherine is celebrating the opening of her own little art gallery Extended Play, this week. The first show will be opening this Friday night, a group show featuring work from Eveline Tarunadjaja, Mel Stinger, Caitlin Shearer + and many more.

Opened by two of my lovely blog friends and longest readers Angela D’Alton (Leeloo) and Renee Baker (Art4Friends). And what a great business pair they make, they also have an art exhibition coming up in November that they jointly curated.

I've been bookmarking heaps of bedroom pictures lately, so I finally rearranged my room and put some pretty art up.

PS. My Frankie Photo Book arrived in the mail today, and oh my it is even more beautiful then I imagined! 110 pages of photography featuring so so many dreamy photos. It came wrapped in pretty pink paper like a present too pretty to open.....ahhh...

Cooking....healthy food, I'm trying to get healthy and in shape for summer, aiming for healthy weight loss.

Wanting... the sun to come out, come on Melbourne it spring now enough of this rain and cold wind!

Making... A mix cd for my boy cause its our anniversary soon. When we were first getting together we would send each other mix cds in the mail cause we lived so far apart. It was so sweet and romantic to receive a handmade present in the mail when you were missing them so much!

Loving... Looking at Lomo travel pics, such as the ones featured here of Turkey by Maricka Rubon.

Lula Magazine Short Film + others

I'm not sure if this is a new thing, or if its been around for awhile, but I'm noticing a lot of labels and fashion mags doing short films. Just in the last week I've watched Lula Magazine (featured below), Dace Spring/Summer 09, Samantha Pleet & now the latest ones Ive been drooling over is Toast Autumn 09. White Inspiration

New blog crush emma's designblog ~ a guide to Stockholm Design.

I love white and airy homes, I'm much more a light and pastels girl then a black and bold girl. I especially love white with little touches of colour from vintage fabrics, artworks, books and quirky knickknacks.

Stay here with me...

I'm off to the doctors to get my travel needles today, eeek. I hate needles! Also I've decided to extend my stay in India for an extra couple of weeks but unsure what I will do during this time. I'm considering trying a Homestay, http://www.mahindrahomestays.com. Has anyone ever done one of these? Do you know what they are like? any recommendations? What about CouchSurfing http://www.couchsurfing.org/? I've thought about joining an organised tour through Geckos or Intrepid, but I don't like how restrictive they are. I'm not one to be told when to have breakfast, what we are doing today, etc..... feels too much like school camp for me!

So the news...

I can now share my exciting news with you all. I've been selected to join the Lomography team as a LomoAmigo for the new Diana Mini. As a LomoAmigo, lomography will equip me with a Diana Mini and a bunch of film which I'm going to use to document my trip around India. I'm really looking forward to taking part and hoping that ill get some fabulous photos in India to share with you all.
