I came across this vintage camera shop Canemah.etsy.com whilst reading the Frankie guest curator feature on The Storque yesterday. They're all reasonably priced too, better then what you'd find them for on eBay. But it does take the magic away from coming across one of these in a vintage store or opshop.
oh, and how amazing is this camera collection?! (via FOREVER IS TODAY)

ReplyDeleteI've collected a few cameras over the years. I've actually had to throw some out because they were either duplicates, or just didn't look as pretty when I had to display them. It was like throwing out an ugly kid :(
ReplyDeleteI haven't taken a photo of my collection in a while but here they are

ReplyDeleteI collect cameras, though maybe not consciously :P When I see a camera at a thrift store or a flea market, it's hard not to ask the price. And usually they'll say, "oh, how does 2 bucks sound?" and I'll be like, "hu, fair enough" :P
ReplyDeleteThese are so great, my dad has quite a few vintage cameras and I love hearing about each of their stories and imagining all the places they've been and photos they've taken.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great find!

ReplyDeleteI want to start collecting more jewellery and books. What do you collect Liss?
ReplyDeleteOld (but working) cameras ... I now have over 6/7 cameras, that's not much but at the beginning I didn't want to collect cameras ... I just fall in love with the pictures people take with them and end up by buying them, or find some at my grandma's (one still have some film inside that my mum loaded when she was no more than 20), or they are gifts ...
ReplyDeletei love shooting with vintage cameras//film. totally checking out this site, thanks for the headsUP!

@Sundari ~ I collect vintage fabric, plates, tea cups. and unintentionally collect owl things, cameras, magazines...books..
ReplyDeleteI have a few of these. Having vintage cameras to hold/ decorate is almost as special as using them to take photos.
ReplyDeleteI have been collecting Polaroid cameras for over 60 years. I have 120 Polaroid cameras of many different models, including the first models made. I displayed these cameras many times at the Bloomsburg Pa Fair and other places. I won money prizes and ribbons.
ReplyDeleteI am now 74 years old and it is too much work for me to display them any more so I am selling them. I would rather sell the whole collection at once if I could find someone that was interested.
If you would be interested in any or all let me know and I will give you details. They would be priced anywhere from $10 to $100+. If anyone wants to buy the whole collection I will sell the whole collection for only $7 for each camera. ( $ 840 )
Buy the whole collection and I will add all the accessories that I have free. (Cases, flashes, instruction books etc.)
