The latest addition to my new house, an embroidery hoop blackboard from Canadian esty store bliss in a teacup. They also have a blog full of crafty and vintage inspiration blissinateacup.blogspot.com.

photos sourced from bliss in a teacup (not my house, although I wish my home was this pretty)

PS. Thanks everyone for your shopping suggestions, I'm planning a trip to Brisbane this weekend to hunt down some retro furniture. I'll let you know how it goes.

  1. These are all lovely!!
I don't know any antique furniture places, but i do know a place the make imitation antiques. I've never been inside, but it's called Paragon and they make queen anne furniture? Probably pricey though - but it's near the Mater Hospital. Also, check out gumtree.com - I saw a lot of things on there while I was trying to find furniture! AND resonably priced.

  13. Oh that's such a fantastic idea! I DIY'ed myself an embroidery hoop pinboard a while ago (thanks to Frankie mag for the instructions), but a blackboard is much more appealing to me now!

Good luck with the furniture hunt :)
