I don't know any antique furniture places, but i do know a place the make imitation antiques. I've never been inside, but it's called Paragon and they make queen anne furniture? Probably pricey though - but it's near the Mater Hospital. Also, check out gumtree.com - I saw a lot of things on there while I was trying to find furniture! AND resonably priced.
oh yay did you decide to buy it! i want one too even though i already have a blackboard, this one is just too cute.

Oh that's such a fantastic idea! I DIY'ed myself an embroidery hoop pinboard a while ago (thanks to Frankie mag for the instructions), but a blackboard is much more appealing to me now!
