Last night I followed the buzz on twitter as Lomography unveiled a new product, the LC-Wide. The LC-Wide is similar to the LC-A but with two main new features the ultra-wide-angle 17 mm Minigon glass lens and the ability to shoot square and half frame. I'm more interested in the wide angle lens, I don't use half frame on my Diana Mini so not likely to use it on this camera but wide angle I love!!
What do you think of this new camera from Lomography?

Looks like a winner...I could do some wonderful things with that...
ReplyDeleteTake care
I'm just getting into photography, but it sounds like a dream!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting. I LOVE the LC-A - best and most reliable!
ReplyDeleteI think that I would love to have one... but at nearly $400 I'll just buy new lanses and vintage cameras instead :P
ReplyDeleteOh, and pay car rego for a year!
I used to have an LC-A (before it got stolen..!) and I loved it! It was my first film camera that had depth of field and the colours were just so beautiful and vibrant.
ReplyDeleteI got a holga to 'replace' my LC-A, and even though it produces some good pictures, it's just not quite the same as the lomo...LC-A's are probably too expensive compared to their plastic holga counterparts, but they are pretty cool :)
@Hannah ~ yes I am the same, although I've been hearing good reviews and if it gets consisten good results I would pay the money. As my diana Mini is very hit and miss and only works in certain light conditions, same with the holga and superheadz.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it looks pretty darn amazing. Makes me want to get one too and snap away!
ReplyDeleteHave a great upcoming weekend!
i wish i knew more about photography :)
ReplyDeleteI'd be hesitant due to the cost as well, I know you get lovely results from it but it does seem like a lot to pay compared to other lomos! x
ReplyDeleteawesome! i want one x
ReplyDeleteI shoot on a Diana F+ but would definitely be interested in this new Lomo - wide angle lens can be lots of fun.

i definitely think this would be a fun camera to play with, but since i'm only coveting the half frame option i'll probably buy a half frame on ebay that will give me more control with a larger aperature.
ReplyDeleteI have an LC-A and I've put a number of rolls through the thing. Alls I can say is that by-and-large, Lomo is a great way to underemploy good film.
ReplyDeleteNifty-looking new little camera. Prolly won't ever end up getting one.
Awesome! But I agree that it's too expensive. Lomo is supposed to be cheap and fun.
ReplyDeleteLooks great, but I'm guessing it's pricy! I have the Diana F+, Diana Mini and FujiFilm Instax Wide already so I'm already Lomo'd out =p!
