Just A Minute in November

Reading...Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald, I'm still on my classics fix. What are your favourite Classics?

Listening... Lisa Mitchell's new album - Bless This Mess.  Also Flume, San Cisco, Little Dragon, Snakadaktal and Matt Corby.  Oh and Foals my long time favourites have just released a new single. yay! Can't wait for their new album Holy Fire.  Do you use Spotify?  I've been using it to listen to new music recommendations to see if I like before I purchase.

Cooking...Jamie Oliver's 15 minute meals, although they take me a bit longer than 15 minutes! I don't mind though as it's still a quick and healthy meal and it's fun learning new recipes instead of cooking the same few meals over and over.

Watching...Homeland, new Dexter

Missing...  talking film photos!  The bottom photo is from Amanda's visit last year, ahh good memories. I miss my bloggy friend.

Loving...Sunshine, friends, and being engaged!!

Feel free to join in with your own Just A Minute post and link it in the comments... you can see past Just A Minute Posts for label ideas (like making, drinking, and other ...ing ).

  1. Favourite classic: Jane Eyre. Read it for the first time while I was in fifth grade, I loved it. I read it again last month or so and I still love it. I also like Jane Austen, Flaubert, Tolstoy... I really want to read some of Fitzgerald's pieces.

  2. What a lovely post! I loved Tender is the Night. Really different tact from Gatsby. I tend to re-read Jane Eyre every few years as it's one of my favourites. I recommend anything by Charlotte Bronte as all her novels are a great read.
Am reading Birdsong at the moment before I go and watch the tv series (from earlier this year) with Eddie Redmayne!
p.s. Jamie is fantastic. Love all his 'quick' meals.

  3. How lovely! I really like Nineteen Eighty-Four as a classic (not a 'pretty' classic, but amazing!) and To Kill A Mockingbird. Great music too- I am also loving San Cisco at the moment :)

I love George Orwell so any of his works are amazing. I also really like Hemingway.
I got spotify recently but I'm not really into it... I think i need to explore it more to see what it does but having a crappy internet connection at the moment isn't helping.
