So excited to announce that Ally of Unknown Pleasures and myself will be Special Guest bloggers for Element Eden @ Splendour in the Grass 2012.  I can't wait to hang out with my good blogging buddy Ally and photograph all the fun of Splendour!! I've already been thinking about what to wear and which cameras I'll take.

We will be blogging on the Element Eden blog, facebook and instagram during the event, so you can follow along there. I will also be doing some film photo diaries after.

So inspiring to see everything Tavi has been up to lately...Oyster Mag editorial, Road Trips, her first book and now an exhibition!

I've been following Tavi's road trip organised with Urban Outfitters via instagram and just saw this morning it's finishing with an exhibition, Strange Magic at Space 15 Twenty in LA.

I am off on a trip this weekend down the coast and this was just the inspiration I needed to get all excited about taking photos, making mixes for the drive and random road stops along the way!  bring on the weekend.

Meadowlark The Love Cats

Meadowlark is coming to Style Milk!!! 

You may have already seen the gorgeous Cat Ear Rings by Meadowlark doing the blog rounds (I've spotted a few bloggers already wearing them).  Well I'm super excited to announce were going to be stocking Meadowlark at Style Milk!

I was first introduced to Meadowlark on my buying trip to MBFWA (you can see my photo diary form the tirp here) and although Jen and I were mostly focused on expanding our clothing designers we just kept coming back to this gorgeous The Love Cats collection. I couldn't get those rings out of my head!

They're doubly special as Meadowlark is all designed and handmade in New Zealand by husband and wife Greg Fromont and Claire Hammon. Those who've been long time followers of my blog will know how much I love to support independent design! The pieces are due to arrive in a few weeks, but they're up for pre-order now here.

Maurie & Eve Diamond Life has arrived at Style Milk!! Jen and I have been excitedly awaiting this gorgeous jewel coloured collection. The first pieces full of rich coral silks and the jewel emblem print exclusive to Maurie & Eve arrived this week and we have brand new styles arriving next month.

It's so exciting to see our little baby grow from only a few womens designers last summer to doubling our womens this summer!

Numerology Series

A few months ago I had a photoshoot at Govs cafe with photographer and designer Camille Nathania for her Numerology Exhibition Series.  As part of the exhibition Camille took a series of portraits of local creatives, with each representing a different number.

My birthday is on the 26th which makes me a number 8 - Tactful, Self Contained, Conventional, Hardworking.  I could definitely consider myself hardworking and self contained and tactful at times...not sure about conventional!

PS. You may notice things are looking all different around here (in fact its pretty hard not to notice :) ). I've had my last layout since 2009 when my good blogging friend Kit of That Unreliable Girl created it for me. The old layout seen me through so much and really was a good launching point for my blog to get bigger and better.  Now my blog has just turned 5 years old and I felt it was time for a freshen up and a new era. For the new layout I wanted something clean and stylish but still a touch of the Daydream Lily whimsy. Tabitha Emma has done an amazing job interpreting my ramblings and creating this beautiful new layout for me. I highly recommend working with Tabitha if you are looking for a designer!  Ahh it feels so strange yet exciting to have a fresh new blog.  Hope you like it!

Pony Anarchy feature

The latest issue of my favourite online magazine Pony Anarchy came out yesterday and it has a feature on bloggers, including a little interview with me.

It was a nice surprise also to see that Kelli Murray did an illustration for the article! ekk....that's me in the middle...so exciting/weird to see myself in illustration form...but I think Kelli has done an amazing job. love it!
